SSW 2011, VendorWorks Presentation 12OCT

Antrodia camphorate (AC) is a fungal parasite on the inner cavity of bull camphor tree. AC has been used for hundreds of years by Aborigines as a traditional medicine to fight cancer and inflammation, and for its immunomodulatory and hepatoprotective effects. However, due to the complex constituents of the crude extracts, it is hard to standardize AC preparations. Recently, Golden Biotech isolated a bioactive compound from AC, Antroquinonol®, with many unique pharmacological activities. This presentation will provide a brief introduction about the findings.
